Almost all the village came to the Christmas fete and drinks party on Saturday 14 December. It was very kind of Hamish and Gillian Cathie to make their house available for the event. With an enormous log fire and excellent mulled wine and mince pies, most of us were aglow within minutes.
People were very generous and bought toys, Christmas gifts and produce and an astonishing £485 was raised for the Village Hall repair fund. The fact that the produce stall virtually sold out means we will not be having a stall on the village green this Christmas: there is nothing left to put on it!
